Liverpool’s Salah sets another Premier League record

Liverpool and Egyptian winger, Mohammed Salah has set a new Premier League record in the game with Fulham.

The Reds played out a 2-2 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday August 6.

Aleksander Mitrovic scored both goals for Fulham while Salah assisted Darwin Nunez for the first goal and he scored the second.

In the process,Salah scored in his sixth consecutive Premier League first day fixture.

He scored previously against Watford (2017), West Ham (2018), Norwich (2019),Leeds (2020) and Norwich again in 2021.

He is the only Premier League player ever to score on match day one five or six times in a row.

Salah scored eight times in those six games .

Alan Shearer,Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard are the only other players to score eight matchday one goals.

Salah has one goal and one assist in the Premier League after match day one.

Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League with one point after matchday one though their goals came in more than double Salah’s appearances.
