Dahiru Buba, the man who trekked from Gombe State to Abuja in celebration of President Buhari’s victory at the Presidential election has finally been rewarded by the Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya.
Recently, Buba, a native of Dukku Local Government of Gombe State cried out for financial and medical help especially, after suffering from pains around his limb for years.
He revealed that he was only given a piece of certificate in 2015 and has been unable to cater for his family as a result of his physical challenge.
However, Buba was given a car and a cash gift of N2m by the Gombe State Governor.
According to a statement by Ismaila Misilli, media aide to the Governor, every genuine sacrifice towards a great course will be rewarded no matter how long it takes.
The statement reads;
“For taking the pains and risks to show solidarity with Mr President and our great party, people like Buba should not be neglected”
“By embarking on that solidarity trek, Dahiru Buba had shown patriotism and support, he should therefore be appreciated and encouraged”
Â
The Governor said he also directed that Buba should be examined medically.
“So, on learning about his condition, first I directed that he should be taken to the hospital for proper medical attention and I am happy that he is now better after undergoing his first round of treatment.”
“As far as we are concerned in the APC and this administration, no genuine effort or sacrifice will go unrewarded, no matter how long it takes.”
“So, on behalf of our dear President and our beloved party, we say a big thank you for your show of support and solidarity.”
Dahiru Buba showed appreciation to the Governor and President Buhari and promised prudent use of the prizes.
