Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain star, Lionel Messi has once written himself into the history books with his goals against Clermont Foot.

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Clermont Foot 5-0 on Saturday August 6 at Stade Gabriel Montpied .

Neymar scored the first goal of the game from a flicked pass off Messi’s right foot in the ninth minute Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos scored to give Paris Saint-Germain a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Messi scored in the 80th minute from a Neymar pass,who finished the game with three assists and the seven time Ballon Dor winner completed his brace in the 86th minute with an outrageous bicycle kick.

The goals took Messi’s total career tally to 772 goals tying him with Brazilian legend Romario as the third highest goalscorer in football history after Cristiano Ronaldo with 815 goals and Josef Bican with 805 goals.

Messi has scored 672 goals for Barcelona,86 goals for Argentina and 14 goals for Paris Saint-Germain.

He has three goals in two games for Paris Saint-Germain this season.

Paris Saint-Germain are currently first in the French Ligue 1 this season with three points and a goal difference of five after matchday one.
