OTD in 2013, Mikel Obi scored his 1st Premier League goal for Chelsea (video)
On September 21st, 2013, Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder John Mikel Obi scored his first Premier League goal.
Mikel Obi who was signed by Chelsea in in 2005 did not score in a Premier League.
The game was against Chelsea’s London rivals Fulham.
Chelsea were already ahead thanks to a goal by Brazilian midfielder Oscar.
A corner kick by Frank Lampard was diverted by John Terry to Mikel Obi to used his outstreching body to score.
