Mourinho names his three greatest players ever but Cristiano Ronaldo is missing
Jose Mourinho snubbed legendary Brazilian Ronaldo and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo when he named the three greatest footballers of all time.
The 57-year old had previously picked Ronaldo as the GOAT of football ahead of the likes of Cristiano and Messi.
However, when asked to pick the best three players of all time, Mourinho said: “For me, the top three players in history are Messi, Pele and Maradona.”
Mourinho worked with former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo during his three seasons at Real Madrid in which the duo won Laliga, the Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup but endured a tempestuous relationship at the Bernabeu.
The Portuguese had spoken highly of the five-time Ballon d’or winner in the past and even branded him ‘the best in the world in 2013’.
The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager explained: “He Ronaldo is the best in the world yes, probably the best ever. I saw Maradona a couple of times,I never saw Pele. But Cristiano is amazing this man is the best.”
