My five years score card on Nigeria’s security challenges – Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Burutai
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Burutai has revealed that the country’s security situation has greatly improved in the last five years under his watch.
Tukur Burutai made this remark while speaking to injured Soldiers at the 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna on the 26th of July according to The Nation.
He also praised the professionalism and determination of the soldiers in ending terrorism in the Northeast as well as other areas of the country currently witnessing security challenges.
He said;
” I am proud you have made the impact that some of our colleagues and Nigerians are safe and I am equally happy that we are living in peace and Nigeria is safer now than we had five years ago,”
The Army Chief said ending the war against terrorism require collective efforts of both the army and the people. He also assured the soldiers of optimal treatment as well as follow up treatment abroad.
