Ndidi Doubtful For Super Eagles World Cup Qualifiers!

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is likely to miss the opening two fixtures of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to a muscle injury.

Ndidi will be a major doubt when the Super Eagles take on Lesotho on November 11 at the Godswill Akpabio stadium and Zimbabwe three days later.

Leicester City’s coach Enzo Maresca while addressing the media on Thursday confirmed that the 26-year-old will be out until the international break.

“Wilf will be out until the international break. It is also a muscular problem. It’s a small thing but when the problem is muscular, even if it’s small, it’s always one week or two weeks because we don’t want to take any risks.”

Wilfred Ndidi has been very infuential in Leicester City’s wonderful start to the 2023/2024 season with 3 goals and 4 assists in all competition this season.

The Foxes are top of the Championship table with 39 points after 14 games. Enzo Maresca’s side are unbeaten in their last 9 games in the league this season.
