NFF Woo French Coach Herve Renard With €2m To Become Super Eagles Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation have according to reports offered Herve Renard €2m per year to become the new coach of the Super Eagles.

The Egyptian FA are also said to be interested in the French manager and have offered him a million euro less than what the Nigeria Football Federation have reportedly offered.

The Super Eagles are currently without a coach following the resignation of Finidi George in June.

The three-time AFCON champions are at risk of missing out on qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after earning just three points after four matches.

Herve Renard is a well-experienced coach on the continent having won the Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia in 2012 and Cote D’Ivoire three years later.

However, the French coach might have his eyes elsewhere. According to ESPN journalist, Colin Udoh, the United States FA are having talks with him to coach the US men’s national football team.

Herve Renard, the 55 years old tactician is currently engaged with the French women national team as they prepare for the Olympic Games on home soil.

His contract is set to expire in August. Hence, the speculations around his future.
