A Nigerian soldier, Azunna Maduabuchi has been sentenced death by a firing squad by military court in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Maduabuchi was found guilty of killing one Lieutenant Babakaka Ngorgi at the court session held at the Maimalari cantonment.
According to Channels Tv, the Migerian soldier was said to have shot at the Lieutenant at close range after latter refused to grant him a welfare pass.
His death sentence is in accordance to section 106 of the Armed Forces Act.
In addition, some other four soldiers: Sergeant Sani Ishaya, Bidemi Fabiyi, Private Musa Bala and Private Abdulraheed Adamu got various prison sentences for murder.
