Nigerians blast Nigerian Army for showering gifts on surrendered Boko Haram members! Reactions👇

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their displeasures at Nigerian Army’s warm gesture to Boko Haram members, their families, and followers who recently surrendered in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

In a statement by the Nigerian Army, the bomb expert of the terror group, Musa Adamu, a.k.a Mala Musa Abuja, and assistant, Usman Adamu, a.k.a Abu Darda, some of their family members as well as their followers surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadarin Kai.

Pictures on social media saw the terrorists display cardboards with different inscriptions such as Nigerians, please forgive us”, “surrender and live”, “surrender and be free”

Boko Haram, based on their nefarious activities are responsible for the death of about 350,000 people in the Northeast according to a report by the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP)

In 2014, the group kidnapped 270 schoolgirls from Chibok community in Borno State. The kidnap of the schoolgirls attracted global condemnation.

Also, in 2018 Boko Haram also kidnapped over 100 schoolgirls in Dapchi community, Yobe State. All but one of the girls, Leah Sharibu were released.
