Nigeria’s ‘C.Ronaldo’ Chidera Ejuke in €12m transfer talk with CSKA Moscow
Speculations are rife in Dutch media that highly-rated Nigerian youngster Chidera Ejuke may be leaving Heerenveen in the Netherlands to CSKA Moscow in a €12m deal.
A report said the exciting winger who’s been compared to Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo for his elaborate dribbling skills and his management agency are in advance talks with the Russian side in what should be a mega deal for Heerenveen.
Ejuke 22, will be the most expensive outgoing transfer in the club history after Afonso Alves and Miralem Sujelmani, who were sold for 17 and 16.25 million euros respectively years ago.
Ejuke, who was taken over from Norwegian club Valerenga a year ago for just under 2 million euros, played 25 league games for Heerenveen last season in which he scored 9 goals and clocked 4 assists.
Though the impending departure of Ejuke is a sporting loss for Heerenveen but the transfer also brings enormous relief to Heerenveen who can reinvest the funds in player development for manager Gerry Hamstra simply to strengthen his team in vital areas.
