The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have secured their spot for the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament after 1 nil victory over Burkinaso Faso at the on going WAFU zone B qualifying tournament in Lome, Togo.
Michael Emmanuel’s 77th minute strike secured not victory for the Eaglets, but also a place in the final of the tournament as well as the ticket to play at the Nations Cup in Morocco later this year.
The Eaglets struggled especially during the group stage of the tournament as they lost against Ivory Coast and played a one-all draw against Ghana.
Fatai Amoo’s men qualified for the semi-finals by Ivory Coast’s 3-1 demolition of Ghana.
The Golden Eaglets will now take on either Niger or Ivory Coast in the final slated for Monday 20th January 2021.
