Nigerians online have descended heavily on Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis after he missed a penalty against Portugal in Thursday’s friendly match.
Although the Super Eagles lost 4 nil, they were handed a second-half penalty which many believed could have ignited a comeback against the Portuguese.
However, Dennis after he struggled with other teammates to take the penalty missed and the team went on to lose by 4 goals.
Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes scored twice in the first half which includes his trademark penalty in the 35th minute.
A flurry of goals from Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario in the 82nd and 84th minutes sealed the victory for the Selecao.
Nigerian fans on Twitter have now shown their displeasure with the player, not just because he missed a penalty, but also his attitude whenever he is called to the national team.
