Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo put up a man-of-the-match performance in Al-Shabab’s seven goals thriller in the Saudi Pro League yesterday.
Even though his team lost 4-3, Ighalo bagged a brace and an assist as Al Shabab recorded their 7th loss of the season.
Ighalo opened the floodgate of goals as early as the 11th minute and he doubled his tally 11 minute later via a penalty to give his side a 2-1 lead at halftime.

However, Al Shabab capitulated in the second half as they surrendered their lead to Ettifaq.
Ighalo also played a role in his side’s equalizer in the 75th minute via an assist but yet again they failed to hold on to the blast of the final whistle as the home side a late winner in the 83rd minute.
Al Shabab’s loss means they are now 4 points off league leaders Al Hilal with seven matches to go.
Ighalo currently has 5 goals and 2 assists in 10 league matches for the side this season.
