The Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji on the 23rd of November, carried out a well-coordinated air onslaught which led to the death of no fewer than 67 armed bandits.
The attack was carried out based on credible human intelligence in the Birnin Kogo Forest in Katsina State as well as the Ajjah Forest in Zamfara State which served as a hideout for the miscreants.
Consequently, the Nigerian Airforce deployed its helicopter gunships and fighter jets to the area as it took turns in engaging the area which led to the death of about 67 bandits who were also armed with high-level weapons such as the Anti-Aircraft rifles.
This was made known in a statement published by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche.
