Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala scored three times as Barcelona Women thrashed Las Palmas Women 7-0 in the Spanish Women’s top division.
Oshoala scored in the 25th, 56th, and 63rd minutes as she helped her side humiliate visiting Las Palmas at the Johan Cruyff stadium on Wednesday evening.
The 28-year-old striker has now scored 10 goals in 15 league matches this season which makes her third on the scorers’ chart behind Levante’s Redondo Ferrer and Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Rodrguez who have 15 and 11 goals respectively.
With the emphatic victory over Las Palmas, Barcelona Women becomes the first football team in history to win 50 consecutive league games.
The unusual streak dates back to June 6, 2021, the team won the last 5 matches of the 2020/21 campaign, all 30 matches in 2021/22, and has already won 15 in the ongoing 2022/23 season.
Barcelona Women will take on Granadilla Tenerife in their next match on 29th January.
