Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will travel to London on Saturday to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s burial, along with other foreign leaders.
Mr. Osinbajo will represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the funeral, according to a statement issued on Saturday by his media adviser, Laolu Akande.
“Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is departing Abuja today for London to represent Nigeria at the State Funeral for Queen Elizabeth II.”
“He will attend a number of engagements and receptions, including a bilateral meeting, with King Charles, the Royal Family, and other world leaders,” Mr Akande wrote on Twitter.
Last Friday, Queen Elizabeth died. The late United Kingdom’s monarch will be laid to rest on Monday, September 19.
