OTD in 2011, Manchester United beat Arsenal 8-2 (video)
On Sunday, August 28th, 2011 Manchester United beat archrivals Arsenal 8-2 in a Premier League encounter.
The game was played at the Old Trafford but no one expected what was about to happen.
Danny Welbeck put Manchester United ahead in the 22nd minute with Ashley Young adding to it in the 28th minute.
Wayne Rooney scored the third in the 41st minute but Arsenal pulled one back in the 45th minute before the halftime break.
Rooney scored his second and United’s fourth in the 82nd minute, Nani scored United’s fifth in the 67th minute.
United sixth was scored by J.S Park in the 70th but Arsenal scored their second in the 77th minute through in Robin Van Persie in the 74th minute.
Carl Jenkinson was sent off in the 77th minute, Rooney would scored his hattrick in the 82nd minute from the penalty spot.
Ashley Young scored a free kick in the 91st minute to complete the rout for Manchester United.
