On October 8th, 2015, Nigeria became the most successful side at the FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament.

It was an all African final between Nigeria and Mali.

The first half ended goalless, but Victor Osimhen put Nigeria in front in the 56th minute.

In the 59th minute,  Funsho Bamgboye scored the second as Nigeria held o to win in front of 15,235 fans in attendance at the Estadio Sausalito, Viña del Mar
