Pep Guardiola wins LMA Manager of the Year!

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has been named Sir Alex Ferguson’s trophy for the League Managers Association Manager of the Year – his second since he arrived in England.

The Spanish tactician was voted the best manager by the full membership of the LMA after winning the 2020/2021 league title – Manchester City’s fifth in history and his third for the club.

Pep Guardiola also won the League Cup title and got Manchester City to their first Champions League final.

Other managers in contention for the accolade were Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds United), Daniel Farke (Norwich City), Emma Hayes MBE (Chelsea), David Moyes (West Ham United), and Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City)

Pep Guardiola expresses his delight after receiving the award yesterday.

“My players have been fantastic – their dedication and professionalism never wavered, even in a season that has been the most challenging we have ever faced.

“And my staff are also deserving of the highest praise. I am so lucky to have a team of people who give everything they have every single day to make sure Manchester City are the best we can be.
