At least 17 people according to the Police Spokesperson in Sokoto were reduced to ashes as bandits set fire on a passenger bus in Sokoto on Tuesday.

ASP Sanusi Abubakar, the Police Spokesperson in Sokoto confirmed the incident.

The ttragic incident took place at Sabon Birni Local Government Area of the state.

The bus according to reports was conveying 42 passengers, while at least 17 got burnt, others who attempted to escape were shot dead.
