Players’ rating: How Arsenal performed in 14th FA Cup title win against Chelsea
By Toju Sote
Emiliano Martinez (6): The Argentine made an important save from Mason Mount before
being beaten by Pulisic’s fine finish.
Rob Holding (6): Quietly effective on the right of Arteta’s back three. Enabled Luiz and Tierney to move further afield while also combining well with Bellerin.
David Luiz (7): The Chelsea old boy who divides opinion like few others impressed, hardly putting a foot wrong in 90minutes plus time added.
Kieran Tierney (8): One of the game’s standout performers who impressed on the left of defence.
Hector Bellerin (7): His wonderful advance played a huge part in creating Aubameyang’s first goal.
Daniel Ceballos (9) Outstanding. A real man of the match contender.
Granit Xhaka (7): Made important interceptions in midfield. Chelsea will have bruises to show for his tackling. Combined well with Ceballos.
Ainsley Maintland Niles (8): Played and moved intelligently. A big reason why most of Arsenal’s first half play travelled down the left.
Nicolas Pepe (6): The Ivorien had to settle for an industrious bit part role.
Alexander Lacazette (6): Played reasonably well until his replacement by Nketiah.
Aubameyang (9) Mr Magnificent scored a textbook penalty but his 29th goal of the season was even better as he mustered a captain’s performance to earn Arsenal a record-extending 14th title.
