Al Hilal are not giving up on signing Super Eagles Victor Osimhen as the Saudi club prepares to send a new proposal to the striker.
Victor Osimhen rejected Al Hilal’s offer, which was reported to be in the region of €40 million, just before the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States started.
The Nigerian striker has rejected Al Hilal’s offer a couple of times in the last 12 months, but the Saudi club are keen on signing him.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via his YouTube channel, says Al-Hilal are preparing to send a fresh proposal to Osimhen in a bid to convince him to join the club.
He revealed that the club have reached an agreement with Napoli on Osimhen’s release clause but want to try to meet Osimhen’s financial demands.
He also added that Galatasaray are interested in signing Osimhen on a permanent deal, and several Premier League clubs are keen on him as well.
“Al Hilal are still not giving up on Victor Osimhen,” Romano said. “Al Hilal have not left the conversation and remain interested in Victor Osimhen. Al Hilal believe that other clubs can’t compete with their financial proposal to Victor Osimhen.
“And this why they want to try despite rejection by the player to participate in the Club World Cup with them.
“They want to try again because they had an agreement already with Napoli by paying the release clause, and they want to try again on player’s side.
“Al-Hilal are expected to return for Victor Osimhen, then let’s see what the player decides.
“There is Galatasaray, there is interest from Premier League, so there are several solutions for Osimhen. Al-Hilal are still offering big money to Victor Osimhen.”
Victor Osimhen had a remarkable season as he led Galatasaray to a league double last season with 37 goals, 8 assists in 41 matches.
With the re-opening of the transfer window, Osimhen will likely dominate the headlines just like the last window, which eventually saw him join Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.
