In the year 2020, he released Meet the Woo 2, a mixtape that broke numerous records in the American music industry. Five days after its initial release, a deluxe version with three additional songs was released.

Pop Smoke sparked outrage on January 17, 2020, when he was arrested at the International Airport while returning from a tour. According to reports, he was accused of stealing a $375,000 Rolls Royce from a person in California when he borrowed the car for one day but did not return it on time.

After a few days, the car was discovered at his mother’s house in Brooklyn’s Canarsie neighborhood. The cops also attempted to question him about the Crips, but he refused to answer. As a punishment, he had to post a $250,000 bond and agree to stay away from known Crips gang members.

Pop Smoke Death

Pop Smoke died on February 19, 2020, when he was shot dead inside his home in Hollywood Hills, California, by four hooded men. According to official reports, four men broke into his home and shot him twice in the chest. Following the incident, he was taken to a nearby Medical Center, where he was declared dead after a few hours of doctor inspections.

His ashes were interred at Green-Wood Cemetery. Three adult men and two minors were arrested for his murder a few days later. According to official statements, Pop Smoke’s death was related to his involvement with the Crips, a drug-smuggling gang.
