Rasheedat Ajibade put out an impressive performance as Athletico Madrid women’s football team defeated Real Betis ladies on Sunday.
The Super Falcons captain scored a goal and provided an assist in 7 minutes as the home side defeated the visitors 5-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
Rasheedat Ajibade’s dashing run on the right flank was instrumental as she put a square ball into the box for Ludmila goal on the 25th minute.
The forward doubled the lead for the home side a few moment later as she was played through on goal by Ana Vitoria.
The 24-year-old once again used her pace to beat her marker, switched the ball from her right foot to the left before placing the ball into the far corner to make ot 2 nil to the delight of the home supporters.
She was involved in play and witnessed her team score the third goal on the 39th minute courtesy of Estefania Banini’s capm finish.
Ajibade played 71 minutes of football before she was replaced by 28-year-old forward Marta Cardona.
Rasheedat Ajibade currently has 6 goals and 5 asists in 24 league matches this season. Athletico Madrid are fourth on the log with 45 points after 24 matches.
