Rasheedat Ajibade’s brace wins Woman-of-the-Match in Norway
Super Falcons Rasheedat Ajibade posted a woman-of-the-match perfromance as she scored twice and assisted another in Avaldsnes’s 4-0 win over Roa in a Norwegian Toppserien league game on Saturday.
The Nigerian international opened the scoring five minutes into the game with a brilliant finish after connecting with a perfect pass from Hannah Dahl.
Avaldsnes got their second when Kateuna Gorry scored from a rebound after goalkeeper Josephine Ervik made a mess of Olaug Tvedten’s shot in the 52nd minute.
Ajibade made it 3-0 before halftime after she was set up by Josendal and then returned the favour as she provided an assist for Josendal to score six minutes from time.
The 20-year old has now scored five goals in nine appearances for Avaldsnes who are now fourth in the table after 10 games this season.
