Rashford, Greenwood, Martial others nominated for Premier League Young Player of the Year Award! Details 👇

Manchester United’s trio of Mason Greenwood,. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have all been nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Year Award for the just concluded season.

The Accolade celebrates outstanding young players who made significant efforts or contribution to the overall performance of their various teams.

This season’s Award has eight players aged 24 and less from different Premier League teams.

Mason Greenwood, 18 had a brilliant debut season with 18 goals and five assists in 48 appearances for the Red Devils. He formed a formidable partnership with the Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as the trio produced 44 league goals for the team.

The Departure of Romelu Lukaku have Anthony Martial the opportunity to play as Man hwyer United’s number 9 and the Frenchman with a cold smile bagged 17 league goals and 7 assists in 34 matches – his personal best in United’s colour.

Marcus Rashford, despite injury set back at some points in the season also recorded 17 goals- his personal best for the team. At some points, the Englishman played as a center forward but didn’t fail to deliver as he helped the Red Devils clinch a Champions League ticket.

Other nominees include

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold who helped Liverpool clinch their first ever Premier League title in 30 years with 13 assists. The 21 year old also had a remarkabke season having won the Club World Cup in December and remains an Integral part of Jürgen Kloop’s Red Army.

Jack Grealish goal on the final day of the season helped Dean Smith’s Aston Villa stay up in the Premier League as they secured a crucial point at the London Stadium against Westham on the final day. The 24 year old scored 8 goals and assisted six of 41 goals.

Dean Smith had a brilliant season between the sticks as he helped the Blades to the 9th spot in the log with 13 clean sheets in 33 appearances – the fourth best in the league.

Chelsea’s duo of Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic helped Frank Lampard achieved Champions League spot and the FA Cup final in his debut season as manager of the club. Mason Mount had 7 goals and 5 assists in 37 league appearances while Christian Pulisic had 9 goals and 4 assists in 25 league appearances for the Blues .

The winner of the award will be announced on a later date as one of these players look set to dethrone Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling – the current holder of the award.
