Goal of the Day: Ronaldo scores free-kick for Manchester United against Arsenal
On May, 5th 2009 Manchester United faced Arsenal in a Champions League second leg semifinal encounter.
It was an all Premier League affair at the Emirates Stadium, London with 59,867 fans in attendance.
Manchester United came into the game with a 1-0 first-leg advantage against Arsenal.
They took the lead through Park Ji-sung Goal in the eighth minute.
In the 11th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a wonderful free-kick to make it a two-goal advantage which they took to the halftime break.
Ronaldo scored his second and Manchester United’s third in the 61st minute Van Persie scored a penalty in the 76th minute to pull one back for Arsenal.
Manchester United qualified for the Champions League final where they faced Barcelona.
