Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze will join 19-time Serie A champions AC Milan for a fee of €20m.
After weeks of negotiations between Villareal and AC Milan, a compromise has now been agreed upon which will see the former youth international join the Milan club officially this week.
Fabrizio Romano, the European football transfer expert, announced that Chukwueze will have a medical later this week before signing his contract.
Chukwueze rounded off the 2022/2023 with Villareal in style as he was named La Liga’s African Player of the Year.
The Nigerian winger recorded 6 goals and 6 assists as he helped Villareal qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa League having finished 5th on the log.
The 24-year-old wide forward was also impressive in the Europa Conference League last season. He scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 9 appearances for the Yellow Submarines.
The arrival of Samuel Chukwueze is expected to add to AC Milan’s squad depth and also provide options on the flanks as the club will compete in the UEFA Champions League, Serie A, and Coppa Italia ahead of the new football season.
