Sasha Banks vs Carmella; McIntyre vs Reigns and much more unmissable NXT, SmackDown and Raw on DStv This Week
Fans of the WWE can gear up for another thrilling week of action on SuperSport, with live airings of the NXT, SmackDown and Raw shows running from Thursday 10 to Tuesday 15 December 2020.
The action begins on the morning of Thursday 10 December with WWE NXT Episode 594. Last week, the Grizzled Young Veterans were scheduled to take on Ever-Rise until Imperium stormed the scene, dismantling Ever-Rise in brutal fashion and leading to a match between themselves and Zack Gibson & James Drake.
The two teams fought an evenly matched battle in a bout that was too close to call until Ever-Rise re-emerged to attack both teams, then decided on a speedy exit after clearly drawing the ire of their new adversaries. How this three-way rivalry plays out remains to be seen.
Saturday 12 December brings Episode 1112 of WWE SmackDown. The simmering feud between SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and Carmella has culminated in a challenge for a title match at Tables, Ladders & Chairs later this month.
“There’s a reason we’ve never faced one-on-one: because I’m out of your league. Always been, always will be,” Banks told Carmella. “You want a shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship? You have it. Me and you, one-on-one at TLC!”
Tuesday 15 December will feature Episode 1438 of WWE Raw. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre now knows that he will face AJ Styles in a title match at the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Pay-Per-View later this month, but he has also sent a warning across brands to Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
“First of all, it feels damn good to stand here, once again WWE Champion,” said the Scottish brawler. “Sometimes you have to get knocked on your a*** to find out what you’re truly made of. Roman, you know what I’m about now. Our paths are gonna cross again and you may have won the battle, buddy, but I can assure you I will win the war, and you can believe that.
“But that’s the past, we should look to TLC. First of all, there’s no beef with AJ and I. He wants to be WWE Champion… I am WWE Champion. This is a treat for the fans because that match will be phenomenal.”
