The Nigerian Army continue to attain giant strides in its ongoing onslaught on criminal elements across the country as men of Operation Whirl Stroke in the north central region killed several armed criminals in Nasarawa State and arrested others in Benue State.
In a well carried out onslaught, men of sector 2 of the Nigerian Army deployed at Gbise and Zaki Biam in Benue State and sector 4 from Taraba carried out a massive onslaught on a notorious criminal named Gana and his gang yesterday. Two were killed and others including Gana escaped with various degrees of gun shot injuries.
In addition, items such as two locally fabricated cartridge guns, one dane gun, six locally made rifles, 27 rounds of 9mm ammunition, two revolver pistols, motorcycles and other items were recovered during the operation.
Troops of sector three of Operation Whirl Stroke deployed in Doma, Nasarawa State also apprehended several armed Bassa criminals who were attempted to attack some Tiv villages in Benue State.
The troops also recovered several items which includes six locally fabricated rifles, six locally fabricated rifles, one dane gun, two revolver pistols among several other items which include charms and poisoned arrows and bows.
The arrested criminals have been handed over to the police according to the Nigerian Army
