Although the Nigeria Football Federation have not officially sacked Gernot Rohr, they have already identified his replacement according to reports.
Mladen Krstajic, a 47-year-old Serbian is the man that is likely to take over from Gernot Rohr as soon as the sack of Rohr is made official by the federation.
Krstajic who played as a defender during his days led Serbia to the 2018 World Cup in Russia but was sacked in 2019 after losing 5 nil to Ukraine during the Euro 2020 qualifier.
He has a 47.37℅ win rate with Serbia.
Mladen Krstajic also coached Serbian side, FK TSC Bačka Topola for 10 months (January – October 2021).
According to reports, the NFF will meet with his representatives in the days ahead.
Reports also have it that Gernot Rohr has already left Nigeria after bidding farewell to some of the senior players in the Super Eagles squad.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroun as well as the playoff round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
