See why COVID-19 vaccine will not arrive Nigeria until February
Boss Mustapha the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has given an update on when the approved vaccines will arrive on the shores of Nigeria.
January was the reported date for the arrival of the Pfizer and BioNTech approved COVID-19 vaccines.
However, according to Mustapha, the vaccines will no longer arrive in January.
On Monday, January 25th Mustapha said efforts to access and deploy the COVID-19 vaccines are progressing while speaking at the task force’s press briefing.
He then revealed that the vaccines will not be available until February.
He said; “The effort to access and deploy vaccines is progressing and as already announced by COVAX, the initial 100,000 doses Nigeria is expecting will now arrive in the early weeks of February.”
