Captain Lionel Messi and midfielder Frenkie De Jong will not take part in Barcelona’s Champions League encounter this midweek.
The Spanish giants lost to Atletico Madrid at the weekend and decided to rest players for the weekend.
The players are Messi and De Jong who have played in all games.

The head coach of Barcelona stated the reason why he decided to rest both players for the encounter.
He said, “They need to take some rest, and after the good performances in the Champions League, it is a good time for them to rest.”
