Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has announced the death of his mother.
Nwabali shared the heartbreaking news on Wednesday night via a tweet on his official X page.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper had earlier hinted on losing someone close to him via a tweet he posted minutes before he announced his mother’s death.
“A very very crazy world indeed 🕯💔”
He went on to share the news of losing his mother afterwards.
“Rip mom, worst year of my life already 😢💔”
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) a few minutes after his announcement expressed its condolences in a tweet on its X page.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother. Stay strong, Stanley. sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you.”
Stanley Nwabali’s mother’s death comes about 46 days after the death of his father.
The nature of her death has not been revealed as of the time of filing this report.
