Coach Gernot Rohr would not be in charge of the home-based team but the Franco-German coach was also present at the training session alongside Austin Eguavoen who has been chosen to coach the team ahead of the match.

Gerardo Martino, Mexico’s coach has invited a 45 man squad for the friendly which he intends to use in preparation for the forthcoming Gold Cup scheduled to take place in the United States as well.

Mexico held Nigeria to a 2-2 draw in 2014 – the last time the two teams met in an international friendly in the United States.

The Super Eagles will take on the Mexicans on the 4th of July at the 77,000 Los Angeles Coliseum as they look to get their first victory in five attempts.
