Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun signs with Wigan
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has signed with Wigan Athletic.
Balogun left Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion for Wigan Athletic who play in the Championship.
Wigan Athletic confirmed that Balogun’s deal with be for the remainder of the 2019/20 season in a statement on their official website.
The statement said, “Leon Balogun has completed a short-term permanent transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion.
“We can also confirm defender Leon Balogun has completed a short-term permanent transfer to Wigan Athletic, until the end of the 2019/20 season.”
Balogun has rarely featured for Brighton and Hove Albon since he joined from Bundesliga outfit Mainz and is expected to feature more at Wigan starting with their game against Blackburn Rovers.
