Super Falcons Resume Training Ahead Of Olympics Qualifier Against Ethiopia! Video 2

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have resumed training ahead of their second leg Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier against Ethiopia.

The Nigerian ladies played out a One-all draw against the Lucy of Ethiopia on Thursday in the first leg at the Abebe Kibila Stadium on Addis Ababa on Thursday.

Ahead of the second leg on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, the 11-time African champions trained at the training pitch of the stadium with all invited players present.

The team is still without coach Randy Waldrum who led them to the second round of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Reports suggest that that the American coach will be on the sidelines on Tuesday even though he’s yet to reach an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation on his contract renewal.

Nigeria need an outright win in regulation time against the Ethiopian ladies to seal a place in the final round of qualification.

The Super Falcons win take on the winner between Uganda and Cameroon in the final round should there be at Ethiopia.

Uganda take a 2 nil lead ahead of the second leg against the Lionesses as they look to seal qualification into the deciding round.

The winner of the final round after two legs of matches will qualify for the final round of qualification.

Africa will have only two teams in the women’s football event at the Summer Olympics next year in Paris.
