Former youth international Taiwo Awoniyi has been invited to the Super Eagles for the first time

The Union Berlin striker who has been in good form this season was handed an invitation to the national team after Lorient of France striker, Terem Moffi got injured.

Awoniyi has five goals for Union Berlin so far this season in the German Bundesliga after he scored a brace against his former side yesterday.

He has now registered 8 goals in 12 appearances this season.

The 24-year-old striker will look to make his debut for the Super Eagles in one of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Central African Republic.
