Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has set a new record for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League game with Manchester United.
The Red Devils edged Forest 3-2 on Saturday, August 26 at Old Trafford.
Awoniyi gave Nottingham Forest an early lead in the second minute of the game with a strike from close range.
Cote D’Ivoire’s defender Willy Boly doubled the lead for the Tricky Trees just two minutes later.
However United fought back with goals from Cristian Eriksen, Casemiro and a penalty from Bruno Fernandes.
With Awoniyi’s goal he has become the first Nottingham Forest player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games.
The scoring streak for Awoniyi started last season.
He has scored three goals in three Premier League matches in the 2023/24 season.
Nottingham Forest are currently 14th on the Premier League table with three points from three games in the division.
