PSG 2-0 Borrusia Dortmund: Three things to take note of as PSG booked their quarter finals ticket !

Paris Saint Germain thrashed Borrusia 2-0 at an empty Parc de Princes stadium as they qualified for the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

First half goals from Neymar and Bernat ensured that the home side overturned the 2-1 deficit they suffered three weeks ago at the Signal Iduna Park.

Thomas Tuchel side were quite conservative in the second half with only few attacking as Borrusia Dortmund searched for a consolation.

Here are three things to note as PSG book their spot in the quarter finals:

This will be PSG’s first quarter finals appearance since 2015/2016 season.
Neymar has been directly involved in 38 goals in 28 home Champions League appearances (20 for Barcelona, 8 for PSG), scoring 26 goals and assisting 12.
This is PSG’s sixth appearance in the quarter finals, a feat no other French team as achieved.

PSG have never played in the semi finals of the Champions League and this might just be the their opportunity to do so. Hopefully the likes of Mbappe, Neymar, Cavani and the likes will deliver PSG’S first Champions League trophy.
