As earlier promised, Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare on behalf of the Federal Government, has fulfilled the cash rewards promised to athletes who win medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
We earlier reported that the Sports Ministry announced the cash rewards for athletes who bring back medals in their respective events in a statement on Tuesday.
Mr. Sunday Dare presented the cash rewards to Blessing Oborodudu who won silver in her 68kkg wrestling event and Ese Brume who won bronze in the long jump event.
Blessing Oborodudu received $10,000 while Ese Brume got $7,500.
