UFC: Israel Adesanya’s loss is a good omen [Listen to Podcast]
Nigerian-born Israel Adesanya lost his perfect fight record after losing to Poland’s Jan Blachowicz on Saturday night but journlist Tosin Abayomi reckons the defeat was necessary to bring the middle-weight champion back to earth.
Speaking on this week’s episode of Sports Planet Podcast with anchor Kayode Ogundare, Abayomi said Adesanya is still a prize asset for the UFC despite his loss.
Abayomi, who wrote a preview for the match, insists moving up to light-heavyweight was the right career move or else Adesanya could have gotten complacent in his comfort zone.
