Update! Victor Boniface To Al Nassr Deal Crashes

Victor Boniface won’t be joining Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr after his transfer deal crashed at the last minute.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the move collapsed because the Saudi club failed to approve it.

Romano had reported that negotiations were in the final stages, with financial terms being discussed between both clubs.

Boniface had already given the green light for the switch, making the outcome even more surprising.

With just 48 hours left in the transfer window, Al Nassr decided to pull out of the deal, ending any hopes of the Nigerian striker making the move.

Romano broke the news in a tweet:

“Victor Boniface and Al Nassr, deal OFF. Nigerian striker won’t join the club, deal was advanced… but never done as Al Nassr never gave final green light.”

Meanwhile, Boniface was notably absent from Xabi Alonso’s UEFA Champions League squad as Bayer Leverkusen secured their spot in the round of 16.

Bayer Leverkusen defeated Sparta Prague 2 nil at the Bay Arena with Nathan Tella as one of the scorers on the night.

Romano confirmed in a separate transfer update that Al Nassr has completed a €77 million deal to sign Jhon Durán from Aston Villa. After passing his medicals, the forward will travel to Saudi Arabia.

Jhon Duran scored 17 goals in 68 matches for Aston Villa over three seasons.
