Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface continued his impressive goalscoring form in the Europa League as registered his fourth of the campaign on Thursday.

The 22-year-old striker scored Bayer Leverkusen’s first goal of the night as they cruised to a 2 nil win at Hacken.

Bayern Leverkusen’s first real chance of the match fell to the Nigerian striker and he made no mistake in converting it.

Boniface scored with a header in the 14th minute from Josip Stanisic cross into into the box after series of sustained pressure from Xabi Alonso’s side.

Josip Stanisic was also the provider for Patrick Schick’s goal in the secomd half as the Czech Republic striker doubled the advantage with a low drive into the bottom-left corner.

Victor Boniface only lasted about 46 minutes in the match before he was substituted for Belgian defender Noah Mbamba.

Boniface has now scored four goals in five Europa League appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this season as the German club progresses to the next round of the competition.
