Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen scored four goals as Napoli dispatched FC Anaunia 12 nil in their first friendly match ahead of the new football season.
Osimhen scored all his goals before the 40th minute as Luciano Spalletti’s side took a 7 nil lead at halftime.
The 22-year-old looked fit and sharp as he converted his goals with composure.
Before the match, Spalletti hailed Osimhen as he noted that he is a good goal scorer and he will be instrumental for the team in the new season.
“He will certainly be a foothold for us and a strength of this team.”
“He is a complete striker, he knows how to score and he knows how to fight for his teammates.”
“It is clear that he also has aspects to improve and this is where we need to work, but it has already given great availability.”
Napoli will take on Serie C side, Pro Vercelli on the 24th of July before they travel to Germany six days later to take on Bayern Munich.
Lucia I Spalletti’s men will begin their 2021-2022 Serie A campaign at home to Venezia on the 22nd of August.
