Video of the day: Premier League celebrates Joseph Yobo for his 220 appearances for Everton

The English Premier League on Thursday, July 9th celebrated the achievements of former Super Eagles defender Joseph Yobo.

Yobo joined Everton on July 9th, 2002 from French Ligue 1 side Marseille and he was head coach David Moyes first signing in charge of Everton.

Yobo played in eight seasons for Everton where he made 220 Premier League appearances before he was loaned out to Turkey Super Lig outfit Fenerbahçe in 2010.

Yobo contributed eight Premier League goals for the Toffees and was a fan favourite.

Although Yobo came back to the Premier League for a brief stint with Norwich City in 2014 before his retirement, he is considered a cult hero at Goodison Park.
