Chelsea defeated Liverpool 2-0 in their fifth round FA Cup clash played at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, March 3rd.

A mistake by Liverpool back up goalkeeper Adrian gifted Chelsea the opener in the ninth minute. Ross Barkley scored the second with a solo run in the 64th minute.

Despite inflicting back to back domestic defeats to Liverpool the conversation after the game is about Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa has not been included in the Chelsea starting lineup for the last seven games. The criticism by Frank Lampard and the fans is his poor saving ratio.

However, handed a rare start Kepa made more saves in the 19th minute against Liverpool than in his previous two Premier League appearances combined. He had three saves in three seconds.

At half time, Kepa had made five saves so against Liverpool, more than he’s made in any of his 24 Premier League games this term.
