There is news about Spanish La Liga giants Football Club Barcelona.
On Wednesday, March 17th Joan Laporta was sworn in as the new Barcelona President.
This comes after he won the election at the weekend.
Laporta who was in charge of Barcelona previously made it clear that he intends to keep star player Lionel Messi at the club.
The contract of Messi expires this summer and was a bone of contention as the Argentine was keen to leave the Camp Nou last summer.
Speaking at his inauguration, Laporta told Messi that Barcelona loves him and he intends to convince him to stay
