The Super Eagles of Nigeria needed a rocket from left-back Taye Taiwo to beat the Black Stars on Ghana at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

With the game level on the 84th-minute mark, well-taken freekick from Taye Taiwo would be the difference to put Nigeria ahead.

The goal gave the Super Eagles a perfect start with three points to start their campaign on a winning note which ended in a bronze medal.
